One day until the beginning of preseason Blackhawks hockey. I’m optimistic as always. Lots of moves were made in the offseason, sad to see some guys go like Tinordi, Johnson, Raddysh, and Blackwell. But in the same breath I think Kyle is bringing in some amazing talent.
So happy to see Teuvo Teravainen coming back to Chicago. Chicago was the team to draft him back in 2013, he then went to the Hurricanes, and after 8 seasons in Carolina he’s back in Chicago with a 3-year contract.
Tyler Bertuzzi comes to Chicago from the Maple Leafs in a 4-year deal.
After losing Tinordi I was happy to see Pat Maroon signed a 1-year deal with Chicago. Even though Maroon is a forward and Tinordi was a d man, the muscle is definitely needed and I’m excited to see how he throws down.
Finally, after 14 years in the Canadian market T.J. Brodie brings in some expertise to the defense with a 2-year contract.
Overall I’m severely optimistic, early predictions, Chicago wins the cup.
